Evolution of Ideas

The material world begins with a primary cause: thought. In this piece I wanted to show how ideas are born from the vast flow of thoughts and sensitive perception.

The alla prima technique gives the image its freshness, its watercolour-like quality and its lightness. The girl’s closed eyes show her focus on the stream of thought, while the eggs stand for ideas not yet born.
