Privacy & Cookies

This site belongs to the artist Juliette Brekman, Warsaw, Poland. It is a small studio shop, not an advertising platform. This page explains, in plain words, what the site does and does not do with your data. Last updated 19 September 2026.

Cookies: none for tracking

We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and we do not load any third-party tracking scripts. Nobody is profiling you here, which is why you will not see a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

The only cookies the site can set are technical ones that the shop needs to work, and they appear only when you use the shop:

  • Cart cookies (named woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_…). They are created when you add a work to your cart, so that the cart still contains it on the next page. They hold a random identifier, not your personal data, and expire after two days or when the cart is emptied. The cart may also keep a small technical note in your browser’s local storage for the same reason.
  • Login cookies. Only the site administrator ever logs in, so these never apply to visitors.

Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server, not from Google or other font and script services, so simply browsing the site sends nothing to third parties.

What we keep when you buy or write

  • Orders. When you place an order we store the details you enter (name, delivery address, e-mail, phone if given) and what you bought. We need them to ship the work, to answer questions about the order and to keep the accounting records the law requires. Orders are kept for as long as tax law obliges us to keep them.
  • Payment. Payment happens on PayPal’s own site or app, under PayPal’s privacy policy. We never see or store your card or account details; we only see that a payment arrived.
  • Contact form. Your message is sent to the artist by e-mail and answered from there. It is not stored on the site.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your e-mail address only to send occasional letters about new work. Reply to any letter, or write to us, and it is deleted.

We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone, except the postal or courier company that delivers your order and needs your address for that.

Hosting

The site is hosted in the European Union by Hostinger. Like any web server, it keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to identify or follow visitors and are deleted automatically after a short period.

Your rights

You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw a newsletter subscription. Write to us through the contact page and we will reply personally. If you are in the EU you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
