At first glance you see a heap of stones against a sunset. Look closer and at the bottom of the canvas there is the figure of a man, barely visible against the earth and the stones, a continuation of their silhouette.
The stones are the problems that fall on people’s shoulders. The figure is almost levelled with the ground, a reminder that we do not always realise how much strength we have when we take on difficult tasks.
